The Collectionby *Kancano

Digital Art / Fractal Art / Fractal Manipulations

"The Collection" is a homage to the work of one of my favorite bands.
The Cocteau Twins were a Scottish alternative rock band active from 1979 to 1997, known for complex instrumentation and atmospheric, non-lyrical vocals.
Formed in the post-punk and New Wave era, the Cocteau Twins tended to defy concise categorisation, and their music was a key influence on dream pop.

This montage was created with Oxidizer and GIMP, using as inspiration the music of the group.
The titles of each individual piece are taken from different tracks of their albums.
These works are a visual representation of what their music is for me; an elegantly soft, ethereal blend of forms and colors, suave and smooth. It touches something deep in the core, abstract for words, gentle and calm feelings, a fantasy an awaken dream...
