Thai buddhist monk paying his respects in the Mahabodhi temple, Bodhgaya, India

This Photo is stands out for me in many respects. It captures a sacred moment in one of the holy sites of the world, Bodhgaya in India. This place, were Buddha Shakyamuni attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, is sacred to all Buddhist Traditions of the world. This is shown in this picture that a Theravadin monk from Thailand prays in front of Tibetan prayer flags, which belong to the Diamond Vehicle of secret mantra. Also the effect of the composition of the colours of this picture is extraordinary. Especially I love the contrast of the rich green and the orange of the robes of the monk! Lovely pic!!!
